I don't know about you, but I'm not a fan of possums. BUT, I'm a huge fan of possum belly cabinets. If you have heard of Hoosier cabinets (I have one of those to), possum bellies came before them, around 1900-1930. Some people called them bakers tables. The bottom drawers are rounded for baking supplies like flour and sugar and were also lined with tin to keep critters out. So, here is my refinished cabinet that I absolutely love. It will serve as great storage in my craft studio.
So we are in Dallas for the American Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championship where my son Matthew will be competing in his final diving events for ECU 🙂 😞, yes feelings of excitement and sadness. I have been watching him dive for 10 years!
So the real purpose of this post is to tell you where Dave and I are going today since Matt has the day off from competition. We are in Texas!!! So.... yes we are driving to Waco to visit everything I can of Magnolia Homes! Silos here we come :) :) I’m so excited and no Dave is not. In exchange I must visit the PGA Superstore with him.
Here’s a little tip and one of my favorites in creating designs. I love texture and dimension so I add ribbon and floral elements whenever I can. Off-setting your design helps to keep it balanced. Have a wonderful Saturday!
During our snow storm, my husband painted our bedroom a beautiful shade of gray. So we needed something to go above the bed. I started with this sign which I love. Let me know if you would like one, I can make more!
I’m always done with decorating by this time but not this year, still working on it. The stockng sign was a class I did this year.
I decided to keep it simple on the mantel this year instead of garland mesh and other trimmings. I think I like it but might need some time to adjust, I’ve never been real simple, lol! I do live my Chalk Couture sign I created in this adorable frame.
